The Cairns Spearos Spearfishing Club was founded in the 1970’s in Cairns, Queensland. At its heart, the club is a group of passionate individuals who enjoy all forms of spearfishing and want to see this sport flourish in the beautiful surrounds of Far North Queensland. Our club brings together individuals united by a common desire to explore the beauty of the underwater world and promote responsible and sustainable spearfishing practices. We meet regularly as well as run events such as our hugely successful running comp. We also held the 2016 and 2017 Queensland state titles spearfishing competitions right here in Cairns.
